Reverse Park
Installation / 2008
Reverse Park was an installation linked to the international PARK(ing) Day event. The event was initially founded by the San Francisco-based art collective Rebar, who discovered that while feeding the meter of a parking space they where free to use the space as they liked. Designed in collaboration with Bjorn Rust, Reverse Park converted the vacant car parking space into a virtual green space. It was an ironic exercise in environmental and social commentary that raised questions of how inner-city spaces could be used.
